But fear not! If you’re into medieval vibes, perhaps a Game of Thrones fan, I’ve got the spot for you: Pocono Castle in East Stroudsburg, PA. It’s reasonably priced and there are dates available in their calendar.

Location is key! If you love mountain activities Shawnee Mountain is 2 miles away and Camelback 17 miles. If hiking is your thing, Bushkill Falls is just one of the many scenic spots nearby. There is an abundant amount of local restaurants in the area. And for those beer lovers, there is ShawneeCraft Brewery Company which has 16 beers and hard seltzers on tap. Cheers!
As we pulled up to the castle, we were greeted with dragons along the driveway. Stepping inside, we were met by an abundance of details waiting to be discovered. Over the course of our four-day stay, it seemed more and more details were being discovered. Me and my friends found ourselves noticing different things and compared notes during our stay. Even outside, the attention to detail was remarkable.

Every bedroom within the castle is warm and inviting. The rooms are beautifully decorated which complements to the overall atmosphere. Each room was furnished with a queen size bed with fresh linens and towels provided for every guest. Additionally, two bathrooms, one with a tub and the other with a shower, which are also decked out within theme.
The kitchen was very well equipped with everything you could possibly need for your stay. There was a wide range of pots, pans, Keurig coffee maker, wok, crockpot, and more. The assortment of goblets to drink from were a fantastic touch. The true MVP of the kitchen was the high-tech refrigerator, which doubled as our speaker system. We streamed Pandora through it to create background ambiance during meals together or playing board games at the table.
I can’t even express how awesome the game room, basement is! Every inch of this room is packed with activities. My favorite surprise find, was the laser tag equipment in the dresser under the tv. However, they had a wardrobe full of costumes, casino bar table, roulette, pool table, air hockey, foosball, karaoke mic, board games, chess board, playing cards, indoor darts, the options are endless.
The space exudes luxury and comfort, with ample room to accommodate a large group of people. Best of all, everyone can float around the room, trying out different activities to their heart’s content. It truly caters to individuals of all ages, ensuring there’s something to delight everyone with.
The outside space is truly spectacular. From the deck you can take in breathing views while enjoying moments of relaxation and wildlife, all overlooking the 1 acre private pond. Keep your eyes open for more hidden details outside that help make this space more magical.
The outdoor hot tub was next to the stairs with hooks for your towel and a cute gargoyles watching over you. The cedar sauna is a few feet away. (the game room does include a washer and dryer, but pro tip, bring two swimsuit) There are multiple spaces to lounge in, fire pit, grill all close by.
If booking outside of winter months look for the basketball hoop, badminton nets, mini golf course, giant chess board, playground swing set, fishing, and corn hole activities!
We were incredibly fortunate with the weather during our weekend stay. We arrived with a light dusting of snow and then even more snowfall the next day. Waking up and seeing the castle blanketed in snow felt like a fairy tale. The serene beauty of our surroundings and snow added an extra layer of enchantment that made our stay even more magical.
The Pocono Castle is a guest favorite and is deemed one of the most loved homes on Airbnb based on ratings, reviews, and reliability.
We loved our stay in the winter, but we are looking forwarding to booking this place again in the summer to enjoy all the other amnesties with fairer weather.
